Internet controversy

The citizens of egypt are rioting because they want there president to resign after 30 years he's been in office. The government there has show that they are able to shut off the internet to the people their. Imagine if Egypt's government can do this, then can the U.S. do it as well. This shows how much power the government actually controls and how they can stop everything we can do in an instant. We thought the internet could no be turned off but Egypt has proven us wrong just to stop the rioters from talking and hearing the outside world.
