Droid 3




The Droid 3 has been announced and it is scheduled to be released July 14th on Verizon. It will have a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM, international GSM roaming, 4-inch qHD display, 1080p video playback and an HDMI mirror mode. It also includes a front facing camera and 16GB of internal memory. It will cost $199.99 with a 2-year contact.

IPhone 5 and IPad HD

Rumors are stating that the IPhone 5 will be released in the Fall and that it won't be alone. There will also be another, cheaper, IPhone being launched with it, as well as an IPad HD. The IPhone 5 will be lighter and thinner than the one now and the new IPad HD is to have a screen resolution of 2048 x 1546. The newer IPad is to aimed at  being a pro device. It will be sold with the IPad 2 so it is not the IPad 3. It might be introduced with an IPad version of Final Cut or Aperture. We just have to wait till fall to find out if these rumors are true.

Verizon cuts Unlimited Data

Verizon has cut the unlimited data option from there list of features. Now there are only limited plans and those who had the unlimited plans will continue to have it. The data options now are 2GB for $30, 5GB for $50, and 10GB for $80 puls an extra $10 for each additional GB you go over.

Voltaic has releases a solar charging tablet case, and it is designed to keep your device off the electrical grid that you pay for. It get an hour of video playback for every hour of direct sunlight. It charges through USB that means almost anything can be charged by it, and it has a 39-watt hour battery.

Space Invader Watch



Romain Jerome celebrates Space Invaders by designing a fancy watch that captures a freeze frame of the game in black stainless steel. It is made of 46mm PBD stainless steel and uses a Swiss Romain Jerome caliber RJ001-A movement. There are two versions a colored one and a glow in the dark one. There is only 78 available.

Verizon Unlimited Plan Flaw or Perk

A set of documents leaked from Android Central suggested that Verizon will kill its unlimited smart phone plan July 7th. Those who have this plan will keep it and if you want this plan you willed need to purchase it now or you will not be able to get after July 7th. It is only $30 a month.

Nokia's First Windows Phone

Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop has showed a crowd their New Windows phone, but has asked them not to take picture but the obviously didn't work. The device is running Mango, has a Gorilla Glass face, a camera, and has the same rectangularity of the recent N9.

New Netflix Feature

Netflix has added a Dial down button for your mobile devices. This means you can tune down the video quality to Good, Better or Best. The difference is that Good quality takes up to 0.3 GB per hour, Better quality goes up to 0.7 GB per hour, for best quality is 1 GB per Hour and for HD video it's 2.3 GB per hour.

Hulu Plus Goes to Android Phones

Hulu plus has been released today on 6 specific android phones, Nexus One, Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid II, Motorola Droid X, and the Motorola Atrix. You will recieve a free week-long trail and then pay $8/month.

New map Feature in iOS 5?

MacRumors has discovered new mentions of navigation and maps in the legal section of iOS 5. Apple maybe planning to replace Google maps on the Iphone.

Batmobile Hydrogen-powered!!!

Grodon Murry has designed a hydrogen powered Batmobile for the Batman Live stage show. The exterior is fairly realistic and still has the afterburner in its design. This vehicle is environmentally friendly because of its hydrogen-powered fuel cell. The vehicle has front-mounted lasers, sonar and "virtual wheels". The "virtual wheels" are diodes in the wheel that creates a high-voltage field that lifts the car 40mm off the ground. If your in England and Europe you will be able to catch the batmobile in its live stage show.

Droid 3

The Droid 3 has been launched in China, over there it goes by Milestone 3. It is faster and thinner as well shoots 1080p videos. It has a 4-inch screen and a five row QWERTY keyboard. There has not been word yet on when it will release in the US/Europe.

Acer has released a new laptop, this laptop includes a new feature a detachable track pad. It is card-sized and it will act as a remote with music, movies, and presentation control capabilities. It has a Core i5/i7 processor and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M graphics. It has edge-to-edge gorilla glass and it comes in 15.6-inch or 18.4-inch sizes. It has a media mode and Dolby sound. It also contains a subwoofer and it is available now starting at $1600.

Facebook IOS App leaked photos

This app has no official name and it is trying to kill twitter and foursquare with these photo sharing tools.This app is designed to take a picture or more than one and then tag your friends and their location. It will then be sent to Facebook proper and from their it will be visible to your friends.

HTC Evo 3D

The Evo 4G has been upgrade to include a 3D camera. It has a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor and has 720p video capture in 2D and 3D. It has a 4.3-inch screen and it has a shutter button to take pictures with. It is offered through sprint and will cost $200 with a 2-year contract.

Apple IOS File Share Device



i-FlashDrive is a new device that allows you to share files between your Apple devices. It has a usb side and a 30-pin connector. You will not have to connect the device to a computer but it won't charge your device. It also has its own memory storage as well, it comes in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. It is not a cable replacement and it will go on sale in July.

Iphone Unlocked

Today Apple has announced that it will be selling "unlocked" iphones. This means the Iphone will now work on any GSM network which in the US is AT&T and T-mobile. It will also work with any GSM carrier outside of the US as well. The 16GB version will be sold for $649.00 and for the 32GB version it will be $749.00. It is on sale now for those who want it.

OS X LION

Apple announced that OS X Lion will have over 250 new features. You will be able to drag apps to the launchpad app that will allow you to be able to place them in folders similar to the ones on the iphone. Their are new gesturing features for it too as well as full-screen apps. Another new feature is mission control which will group all windows together. A new feature is resume which will allow you to resume anything you close. Also a new autosave feature is available and versions that will take picture of your document and it will be stored in time machine and will show you your current document side by side the older document version. Also airdrop which is similar to dropbox but will share files with anybody with in 30ft of you. these are just some of the new features coming in july.

IOS 5

IOS 5 is apple's new operating system for iphone and ipad. Apple reports that it will have quite a bit of new features. It has rid of the pop up notification system and it now has a pull down message system similar to androids menu. Also updates will be wireless you will no longer have to be connected to a computer to update the device. Also a new free message service that will only work on other apple devices and you are able to send messages to other apple products similar to texting. Also a new newsstand app is available where you will be able to put all you subscriptions to magazines there. There is also a new reminder app that will remind of things to do. There is a new twitter feature on all sharing options in the device. There is also a feature that will sync your device wirelessly to your itunes as well as mirroring in airplay for the ipad. Another new feature for ipad is gesturing.

Icloud

This week apple has announced icloud. This is a wireless streaming service made into several apps. This service is free for the first 5GB. Apple has already implemented it in their app store and music store. If you check the purchased section of your app it will give you the option of download material not on that ipod or ipad. It will allow you to send music wirelessly to your apple product as well as store photos and videos. It will allow you to back up your apple product wirelessly and will update all your apple products if you buy something new on another apple device. It will also allow you to update all your calendars if a change is made.

A PC that runs ChromeOS

The Chromium PC announced last year has been scheduled to be released July 4th. It is the first desktop to be ready to run ChromeOS and other operating systems if you want it to. It holds 3 boards, also called modules, that are interchangeable this is what allows it to run other operating systems. The Xi3 has been designed to work with the cloud. It has an out-of-the-box set-up that will make it faster for you to get online.

Xbox now accepts Paypal

Today's scheduled update for xbox 360 now lets you pay with Paypal and reduces the power consumption when idle for more then an hour or more.

AT&T new 4G

AT&T will be testing their new 4G network in their foundry in Plano, Texas. It offers 28.87 Mbps downstream and 10.4 Mbps upstream. They tested it on the 700MHz spectrum and they plan to cover 95% of the country.


Verizon and Windows 7 Phone

Windows has struck a deal with Verizon to sell its Windows 7 Phone. It is scheduled to release June 2nd and Pre-orders start May 26.

Apples newly released patent shows us that the new cloud service makes you download a small piece of your intended music inorder to bypass the buffering that would begin at the beginning of that song. This will help with current 3G powered phones and it also includes a system that prevents people from stealing your music.

AT&T lets Android users Sideload

AT&T has finally let android users to install apps from unofficial sources. It will send out an outdate in the next few weeks for their users. But Atrix 4G users will have to wait for a maintenance release from Motorola.

Android Honeycomb 3.1

This is an update for Android powered tablets. It introduces fixes for certain things as well as new things.
It improves the Flash on the tablets by taking advantage of the hardware acceleration on the Xoom. 720p and 360p videos off of YouTube have been improved by this but 720p still lags a bit. There is also better multitasking on it by this i mean you can scroll up and down open apps all you have to do is hit the home button and flick. It also released a movie store offering $3 standard and $4 movies HD rentals. Now you can resize home screen widgets. It also introduces USB hosts this means it will accept keyboards, thumb drives and cameras. It also has an updated Quick Controls UI lets you view open tabs quickly and access settings. It also supports HTML5 video and enables hardware acceleration as well as other new features for the calendar app and the email widget .

New Apple Data Center?!?!

Apple has recently struck a deal with a SoCal server data center. This one is just as big as the on in NC but one difference is that they didn't make this one. This is being leased to them by a third party. Could this be part of the rumored music streaming service or a back up to the data center in NC.

This a new addition to the iRobot family. It is only about the size of a CD and a few inches tall. It costs $300.

PROS:   All you have to do is place it on the ground and press the CLEAN button. It has a collision detection system and is able to navigate into small disgusting places.

CONS: It cannot replace a mop, by this i mean it can't clean serious grim or dirt. It doesn't dry well even though it has a vacuum function. I drags hair and dust behind it like it has a tail.

Netflix: top internet Trafficker

Netflix has earned the top internet trafficker spot in north america. It has 30% piece of the downstream traffic. While Websites have only 18% now netflix only has it because of the amount of data it sends like HD movies that take several GBs. It grows even more everyday soon it will be bigger than 30%.

Today HP has revealed a new computer monitor. It is 23in.x 9.8mm this will give you a lot of extra space on you already crowded desk. It offers a resolution of 1980x1080 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 8,000,000:1 as well as a 3ms response time. It will be called the X2301 and it will cost $279.99.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1

This is a new breed of computers, it is a crossover. This laptop is made for the business life style but it doesn't seem like it is. It is thin, gorilla glass screen, spill-proof keyboard, and only weighs 3.7lbs. In 30min it can charge to 80% and comes with the option of an intel core i3, i5 or i7 processor. It costs $1400 and it also comes with Dolby Home Theater sound.

Earth like planet spotter

ExoPlanetSat's new nanosatellite, which is 30cm long, will embark on a new mission to spot earth like planets orbiting nearby stars. It will measure the incoming photons from the star but during this it has to hit the exact same pixels  over and over and any sort of movement will ruin the data. It only costs $600,000 compared to the millions of dollars that older and bigger satellites costs.
